Receive Help

Father Gene's Help Center strives to provide dignified clothing to those in need within the Milwaukee community. Anyone is welcome to receive clothing from us, and there are no financial, zip code, or socioeconomic requirements to receive help.

Clients are eligible to receive help with clothing once every 90 days. They are welcome to shop or place orders for themselves, a spouse or partner, and dependents who live in their household under the age of 18. We will ask shoppers to provide the full names and dates of birth for the members of their household who will be receiving clothing.

1. Verify Eligibility

Call (414) 258-4357, ext 104 to verify eligibility for the full shopping experience. If we are unable to answer your call directly, simply leave a message clearly stating your name and phone number. We will return your call as soon as possible, typically between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 noon. 

2. Shop

We welcome eligible clients to shop on a first come, first served basis, Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm. All shopping must be completed by 2 pm.

Please bring a photo ID (or a picture of a photo ID) as well as the full names and dates of birth of your family.

3. Style

Enjoy your new clothing items! We encourage you to spread the word about the client shopping experience at Father Gene's Help Center and to leave us a positive review on social media. 

 

We invite you to return to shop once every 90 days.

1. Place

Call (414) 258-4357, ext 104 to place your order. Leave your name and phone number. We will return your call as soon as possible, typically on a between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. Please note that it greatly speeds up the order intake process if you know your clothing sizes prior to calling.

2. Pack

Once you have placed an order, a volunteer will pack your order for you. We strive to fill orders as completely as possible based on the donations we have available. Orders are completed within one week after they are placed.

3. Pick Up

Once your order is complete, a volunteer will call you to inform you that your order is ready for pick up. You may pick up your order Monday-Thursday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., as well as on the first Saturday of most months from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please respect the time and effort of our volunteers by picking up your order within one month of completion.
